Track 1 CSU Channel Islands campus:

Please note the Camarillo campus Track 1 program applicants must apply to the University during open enrollment in October and November, and the Nursing department in February.

Track 1 Cottage Health System / CSU Channel Islands in Goleta:

Both applications to the University and the Nursing department must be completed during the month of August for the Spring program in Goleta.

How do I apply to the university?

Non CSU Channel Islands prospective students seeking admission to the Nursing Pre-licensure Program for the Fall semester must submit an application for admission to the university during the priority admission application filling period beginning October 1st through November 30th.  Important note: If you will be graduating from CI in the spring you must complete the University application and subsequent Intent to Enroll in order to be eligible for admission in the fall semester. CSU admissions applications are available online at www.calstate.edu/apply and from high school and/or community college counselors.  When selecting the desired major, interested applicants should select the PRE-NURSING major. When requesting official transcripts from previous institutions we suggest you order an extra set sent to you. This will allow you to have it available to send to the nursing program when you submit your nursing application. (See below)

Applicants may apply to both the CSU Channel Islands Track 1 Generic BSN Program and the CSUCI Generic Basic Nursing Program at Cottage Health System. However, if an applicant accepts a seat in one of these 2 programs they will be excluded from acceptance in the other.

How do I apply to the Nursing Program?

In order to apply to the nursing program, applicants must either be a current CI student or for new students have submitted a university admissions application during the priority filing period of October 1st through November 30th. A separate nursing program application must also be submitted. Important noteDo not wait for university acceptance before applying to the nursing program. Nursing program applications will be available online beginning in January. Also note, applicants who previously hold a baccalaureate degree will only be admitted to the university if accepted to the nursing program.

The nursing program application, official transcipts, TEAS scores from ATI, and all documentation of supplemental criteria(PDF, 76KB) must be received by the nursing department no later than the last Friday in February. Please hand deliver or mail documents to:
