QSEN (Quality and Safety Education in Nursing) Conference August 26th 9-4pm Broome Library on the campus of CSU Channel Islands.
The nursing program at CSU Channel Islands will host nationally known guest speak Dr. Joanne Disch from the University of Minnesota addressing implementation of QSEN competencies into nursing education. Dr.Disch is highly regarded as an expert in the field, and her research is in Improving Patient Safety through Effective Nurse Physician Relationship. The interactive workshop will address the necessity of nursing program to teach the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes to improve the competencies of patient centered care, teamwork and collaboration, evidence based practice,quality improvement, informatics and patient safety.
